The reason behind such a great battle is that, the Maharaja Bhim Chand (King Bhim Chand) was found to be very weak to fight against the strong Alif Khan, who hired some strong force sent by the Mughal Warrior. Due to the in capability of facing such a strong army, King Bhim Chand went to the Guru Gobind Singh seeking his help. Because of this reason, Guru Gobind Singh had to fight the battle and after the end of the battle, he stayed in Nadaun for 8 more days.
